In early 2016, Preservation Maryland and the Polm Companies announced their joint intention to preserve Whites Hall, the boyhood home of Johns Hopkins. As a result of that announcement, the property was made available for sale and the Polm Companies began providing tours and accepting viable offers.
Despite the desire to see this property preserved, no credible buyer has stepped forward, leaving the future of this historic home in preservation limbo. With an uncertain future, the property remains threatened and Preservation Maryland is eager to find a preservation minded buyer willing to tackle the job and restore the historic site to its original splendor.
As a result of these concerns, Preservation Maryland also worked with Elevated Element to document the historic property with drone photogrammetry. The process created a detailed 3D model of the property and historic building.
Interested buyers should contact Sarah Aaron at the Polm Companies for more information.
