The Women’s Suffrage History Project, a first-of-its-kind for Maryland, will document the places where Maryland women gathered, organized, planned, met, protested, marched and rallied.
In the video you heard about the influence of Maryland’s Suffragists and the impact that this project will have from:
- State Delegate Brooke Lierman of District 46 in Baltimore City.
- Nakita Reed, architect and founding partner of Encore Sustainable Design.
- Ali von Paris, founder and president of Route One Apparel.
- Kacy Rohn, University of Maryland dual-degree scholar.
It’s a big project and one that will take a statewide organization like Preservation Maryland to complete. When you give today you’ll be helping to identify, document and protect places that hosted pivotal moments in the efforts to guarantee that women would earn their right to vote.
