AIA Maryland, Barton Ross & Partners, LLC, and Preservation Maryland are pleased to offer a paid internship position for a Historic Architecture Intern on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

This Position WILL REOPEN IN SPRING 2020

Project: Provide essential fieldwork, documentation/measuring, and 2D/3D renderings of historic structures on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, specifically the Queen Anne’s County Courthouse. The selected intern will be supervised by Barton Ross, AIA, AICP, LEED AP BC+D with funding provided by AIA Maryland and Preservation Maryland.

Skills: Understanding and interest of historic construction and architecture, ability to document buildings in the field, prepare field notes and measurements into CAD floor plans and elevations, 3D rendering capability a major plus. This position is best suited for interns with a technical background in preservation, planning, and/or architecture.

Who: This internship is open to students and young professionals.

When: This internship is available to a single selected intern for a period of 3-4-weeks. Intern will work a typical workweek schedule on-site and at the offices of Barton Ross & Partners, LLC.

Where: Centreville, Maryland; some travel on the Eastern Shore required.

Compensation: The selected intern will be compensated at $10.10/hour with 160 maximum hours worked over the internship period.
