Position Title: Grants Administrator
Organization: Preservation Maryland
Location: Baltimore, MD (hybrid)
Reports To: Chief Development Officer
Position Overview: The Grants Administrator plays a pivotal role in advancing Preservation Maryland’s mission and maintaining the financial sustainability of the organization. This position is responsible for managing existing grants in cooperation with the Chief Development Officer and related program staff.
Job Responsibilities:
The Grant Administrator role includes the following:
- Serve as the administrator for the organization’s grant management, tracking programmatic activity, maintaining accurate and timely records, and ensuring effective and efficient processes throughout.
- Ensure that grant funded projects comply with grantor guidelines by monitoring project progress monthly.
- Compile financial and written grant reports in collaboration with program staff, maintaining a seamless reporting schedule.
- Assist the Chief Development Officer in providing guidance and oversight to program staff managing grant funded projects, supporting a positive and collaborative workspace.
- Leverage strong project management skills to interact with external stakeholders for on-time project deliverables.
- Data analysis to support development of dashboards and metrics to measure the organization’s growth.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in grant management, fundraising, or related roles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others in writing and obtain needed information for completion of projects.
- Ability to prepare required documentation for state, federal, and private grants.
- Ability to understand and apply applicable Rules, Regulations, Policies and Procedures.
- Ability to plan and organize information for tracking timelines, documentation requirements and reporting functions.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe
Benefits:
Preservation Maryland provides a generous benefits package including employer paid health insurance, retirement, vacations, holidays, and a flexible, hybrid work schedule. Compensation will be between $50,000-$55,000, commensurate with experience.
