Under contract with Preservation Maryland, Hanbury Preservation Consulting conducted two virtual public meetings earlier this month for a project related to the future of Falling Waters Battlefield in Washington County, Maryland.
Preservation Maryland selected Hanbury Preservation Consulting for the execution of the November 2019 Request for Proposals for “Land Protection and Public Consensus Building Plan for the Falling Waters Battlefield” project funded by the NPS American Battlefield Protection Program.
The well-attended virtual meetings were a way of introducing the project to the public and to get initial input from interested parties who may or may not be landowners or anticipated stakeholders. The virtual meetings included a brief introduction of the scope of work and the study area and a facilitated discussion guided by attendees’ questions and concerns.
Information and resource links were shared during the course of the meeting, and are being shared via this email. A follow-up survey will be sent to all registrants. To provide additional input, please contact Mary Ruffin Hanbury.
