Preservation Maryland and The Campaign for Historic Trades seek a videography intern to join our team to assist in the production of high-quality training content. The ideal candidate will have a passion for videography and a strong understanding of camera and lighting techniques. This is a paid position (up to $15/hr.) that includes field work, office work, and remote work.

The intern will work with staff members to stage and film content for historic trades training videos with our partners. The intern will also work with staff in post-production for editing, audio scripting, and recording, and platforming, with tasks that include:

  • Setting up and operating camera and lighting equipment;
  • Assisting in editing and post-production work;
  • Collaborating with the team on the creative process and scripting of the video production;
  • Helping publish videos; and
  • Performing other tasks relevant to the project.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience and/or education in videography are required
  • Strong knowledge of videography techniques and equipment
  • Experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Pursuing a degree or diploma in videography or related field is a plus
  • interest in educational videos, construction, and/or preservation are a plus.
