This year, our Giving Tuesday campaign Save a Grave is about getting supplies in the hands of the next generation of historic preservationists.
Cemeteries tell important stories. Stories of people, families, communities, and our history. Help us preserve them!
Through our planned programming (coming Spring 2022!) made possible by a grant from the Rural Maryland Council, groups will be trained by preservation experts while they learn about the historical significance, proper maintenance, and importance of cemetery preservation – and will be supported in the continuation of this work well into the future.
THANK YOU to those who have already donated to our ongoing Giving Tuesday campaign. We still have a while to go, though! We are hoping to raise enough to fund FIVE more cemetery preservation kits ($500 each).
Each complete kit contains supplies for eight people for one of our 25 planned sites. We are partnering with Atlas Preservation to purchase supplies at a 20% discount so your donation goes even further. Additionally, our friends at Route One Apparel are offering a $10 voucher for every $50 spent with Preservation Maryland for Giving Tuesday – another great reason to give!
