Ali von Paris, one of Preservation Maryland’s newest Board members, was recently honored by the United States Small Business Administration as Maryland’s Young Entrepreneur of the year for 2018.
Ali was elected to the Preservation Maryland Board in late 2017 and is the owner and founder of Route One Apparel, the area’s original
online source for trendy and affordable Maryland pride apparel and accessories. She created her company in 2010 from within her dorm room while still an undergraduate student at the University of Maryland.
In 2012, she was selected as a top 5 finalist in the Cupid’s Cup competition hosted by the Dingman Center of Entrepreneurship at the University of Maryland. She serves on the Tourism Board of Maryland appointed by Governor Larry Hogan as well as the Robert H. Smith School of Business Board at University of Maryland. Today, Route One Apparel offers more than 1,500 unique products, has a huge social media following, and is sported by both local icons and fans of all ages across Maryland.
