Preservation Maryland is pleased to announce the arrival of our new Maryland Corps/Service Year Option member as part of the statewide 2025–2026 class launched by the Maryland Department of Service and Civic Innovation (DSCI).
This year’s class includes members placed across host sites from across all 24 jurisdictions in Maryland. At Preservation Maryland, we are excited to welcome Ryan Anderson, a Maryland Corps member who will contribute their talents to The Campaign for Historic Trades, Preservation Maryland’s national workforce development initiative to expand and strengthen careers in the high–demand field of historic trades.
Ryan joins us as Outreach Associate and will work closely with Recruitment & Outreach Manager Jordan Riggs to connect people to training and career opportunities in historic trades by creating outreach materials, coordinating events, and building relationships with workforce development partners.
Ryan earned her Bachelor of Science in History from Towson University in 2024. During her undergraduate studies, she served as a Historical Research Assistant with the international nonprofit Cuala Foundation, contributing to projects that highlighted Irish history and culture. She also brings over four years of customer service experience, which strengthened her skills in communication and community engagement.
“We are thrilled to welcome a new member into our organization,” said Natalie Henshaw, director of The Campaign for Historic Trades. “Maryland Corps/Service Year Option members are gaining skills and experience they’ll carry into Maryland’s workforce – a true match with The Campaign’s mission of paid, on-the-job training.”
