The Baltimore Museum of Industry is home to a WWII-era shipyard crane — it’s a 110-ton artifact in their collection to celebrate Maryland’s industrial legacy. Preservation Maryland is supportive of a Bond Bill in the Maryland General Assembly for funding to restore the crane. Here’s how you can help:
On Monday, March 12, 2018, the Maryland General Assembly will hear a range of Bond Bills for projects across the state. As part of our partnership with the Baltimore Museum of Industry through the Preservation Maryland Six-to-Fix program, we offered a letter of support to the Museum.
If you believe that the crane is an important part of the Baltimore skyline and should be restored as part of the Museum’s collection, sign this petition before the Monday hearing. The Baltimore Museum of Industry serves more than 170,000 visitors annually the majority of whom are the next generation of Marylanders.
