The Campaign for Historic Trades is looking for a passionate, adventurous, and driven individual for a 12-month term position, hired through the Conservation Legacy Stewards AmeriCorps VISTA Program. This person will help The Campaign’s efforts to register apprenticeships, consolidate and platform trades training learning materials, and engage in outreach and partnership building.
specific duties include:
- Help registering Historic Trades Apprenticeships with the Department of Labor and develop related curriculum
- Compile, organize, and adapt curriculum from trades training programs
- Help platform these resources and make them 508 Compliant
- Identify and engage pipelines for historic trades trainees
- Create and distribute outreach material
- Develop and maintain list of national training workshops and programs
- Write and submit grant proposals, with supervision
- Identify and engage contractors, businesses, and craftspeople to train apprentices
- Assist in the development of a trainer registry
- Maintain databases for trades training and labor workforce studies
This position is ideal for recent graduates looking for a career in workforce development, historic trades, historic preservation, and/or educational instruction and design.
To Serve You Will Need
- To be a US Citizen, National, or Lawful Permanent Resident
- To have some college or equivalent experience
- To be able to commit a full year (365 days) to an amazing experience
- To be at least 18 years of age
