It’s official. After months of planning, writing, designing…re-writing…re-designing…and feverish testing, by the awesome web team at Younts Design Inc, our new website is now live.
The primary goal of the new site is to become the go-to repository of all things preservation for our members, grassroots supporters and practically anyone interested in the story of Maryland.
As a result, what you’ll find is a diverse array of resources including detailed advocacy summaries, organizational priority updates, comprehensive programmatic information and reports, studies and research that we hope will prove useful to preservationists across the state. In addition, we’ve incorporated a new calendar function that we hope will eventually become the state’s clearinghouse for preservation, history, architecture and cultural events.
And, as you can see, there’s also a powerful, integrated blogging function. It’s on this blog that important updates, press releases, Six-to-Fix reports, advocacy alerts and more will be distributed. It’s also here that we hope our partner organizations have an opportunity to tell their story as guest bloggers from time-to-time.
We’ve also integrated all of our social sites into the new platform. This includes our traditional social media feeds on Twitter, Facebook, and Storify as well as our recently updated Flickr account, which now boasts over 1,300 highly organized images available for public use under the Creative Commons license.
The launch is just the beginning. Expect us to grow, adapt and add to what you now see. And, be sure to visit often.
