Much like there’s Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday, non-profits have organized a special day to support deserving projects and causes called Giving Tuesday. This year, Preservation Maryland is hitting the road to make the case to our fellow Marylanders that our history and heritage deserve protecting. Find out more about our Giving Tuesday Great Maryland Road Trip:

“The goal is to use the power of social media and instantaneous digital communication to directly connect with our supporters this Giving Tuesday and show them first-hand why we need their support and what it will and already has accomplished. We hope to show the impact we can make and the communities we can enhance with your support,” explained Preservation Maryland Executive Director Nicholas Redding.

Executive Director Nicholas Redding, along with Elly Colmers Cowan, Director of Engagement and Meagan Baco, Director of Communications with Michelle Eshelman, Preservation Associate will crisscross the state in two paths with the goal of visiting each of the organizations dozen Six-to-Fix sites from this year and last. We want to show you the work that we have accomplished together and the important work that remains to be done.

UPDATE: The Great Maryland Road Trip has started! You can follow these preservationists across the state on Preservation Maryland’s Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Tagboard accounts. And meet them at their final stop the Maryland Giving Tuesday Mixer at Pen & Quill in Baltimore.
