With the inclusion of Maryland’s sacred burial places as a statewide focus for Preservation Maryland’s Six-to-Fix program in the coming year, we are proud to continue our partnership with the Coalition for the Protection of Maryland’s Burial Sites by sponsoring their workshop at the Montgomery History Conference in January.
Preservation Maryland is proud to sponsor “History Tools: How to Protect Your Local Historic Burial Grounds,” led by the Coalition on Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 12:45pm to 1:45pm. Our Director of Communications, Meagan Baco, will be attendance to provide additional information about the Six-to-Fix program, including ways to get involved as a volunteer.
Will we see you there?

Since 2007, the Montgomery County History Conference has been engaging museum professionals, volunteers and the general public through dynamic and informative sessions on local history. Workshops, lectures and discussion panels have covered such diverse topics as the Civil War, volunteer management, 20th century suburban development, artifact and archival collections best practices, African American schools, creating a living history persona, historic and pre-historic archaeology, women of Maryland, and the histories of the county’s many small towns, communities and institutions such as Sugarland, Garrett Park, and the Bethesda Women’s Farm Market.
