Maggie Pelta-Pauls

Maggie holds a B.A. in American Studies from The College of William & Mary and an M.A. in American Studies with certificates in Historic Preservation and Museum Studies from the University of Maryland. It was her time as a Waxter Intern at Preservation Maryland that ignited her interest in preservation and inspired her to study it at the graduate level.

She is passionate about navigating the intersection of historic preservation and smart growth, particularly exploring the role preservation can play in increasing access to affordable housing and encouraging transit-oriented design.
