After a stunning video of the organization’s major 2019 victories, Preservation Maryland’s Executive Director, Nicholas Redding, introduced the crowd to the organization’s newest class of Six-to-Fix projects. What started with a handful of priority projects in 2015 has now become a nationally recognized program that has a portfolio of 30 projects that are creating best practices for community engagement and partners to make preservation a reality for threatened resources.

With this year’s class of Six-to-Fix projects, the organization has made a direct impact on 30 dynamic projects and has resulted in the investment of over $2 million across our portfolio of projects.

To celebrate the one-year anniversary of the organization’s Smart Growth Maryland program, Phoenix Rising turned emerald green! As a major program of the organization led by its director, Kimberly Golden Brandt, Smart Growth Maryland heads several county-wide alliances and leads a statewide advocacy approach to environmental and economically sustainable growth in Maryland.

Preservation Maryland is pleased to host Phoenix Rising and offer the opportunity for celebration and conversation for our donors, sponsors, partners, and friends. We hope that the good discussions and connections made at the event spark and strengthen future preservation efforts.

Working together, preservation is a force for good across Maryland.
