The Maryland Department of Planning is drafting a new state development plan and has an open survey to receive input from Maryland’s citizens. This is a great opportunity for Maryland residents to provide feedback about development and growth strategies, priorities, and challenges.

MORE FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING

Governor Larry Hogan charged the Maryland Department of Planning with drafting a new state development plan last summer. Beginning last fall, Planning visited every Maryland county and the City of Baltimore to conduct listening session, receiving input from residents, elected officials, and local government staff for this plan, called A Better Maryland.

As part of the outreach for A Better Maryland, Planning has posted an online survey for those who were not able to attend one of these meetings. The survey will be active through the end of May. If you have not already, please go to the A Better Maryland Survey page and take our five-minute questionnaire. Your responses will also provide insight into how a state development plan can best assist local planning initiatives and ensure better statewide and inter-jurisdictional collaboration.
