Grown from a surviving genetic descendant of Maryland’s original 1775 Liberty Tree — the only state in the nation with this direct living link — new trees will take root in all 23 counties and Baltimore City by the end of 2026

Heritage Fund has $153,000 available in funding for non-profit organizations and instrumentalities of state, counties, and municipalities engaged in historic preservation projects.
